The laser pointer is a useful thing meant for to point to a particular area or point or fact or figure. The cost of such a device is really low and the device itself is quite convenient to carry. During any presentation this device works as a wonder and helps both the presenter and the person who want to follow it. Earlier the pointer, which was used, has some disadvantages. The present laser pointer can be used from few hundred feet apart and it also can be used in dark. It produces light itself. The blue laser pointer can serve many purpose of pointing anything.

Now let us discuss about how the laser pointer evolved gradually. The word laser connotes amplification of light by stimulated emission of radiation. In this laser pointer light radiates from the laser and this radiated light may be visible or invisible to our eyes. Though technically some laser use amplification of light, still the device is commonly known as laser pointer. Now let us discuss about the most common parts of a laser pointer. Generally all the lasers have a resonator, a medium of lasing and an energy source. The medium of lasing is the material, which can be energized with a source of energy. Thereafter, the medium of lasing will release the same energy in the form of radiation.

Then comes the function of resonator. The resonator is the place where the released energy is allowed to build up. Therefore a general question may come to your mind, what is a basic resonator? The basic resonator is nothing but a pair of mirror one of which is fixed at either end of the medium of lasing and the other mirror is used for reflection. Due to the function of this reflexive mirror the lights reflect back when they strike on it. The pair of mirrors is reflective no doubt, but one of the mirrors is complete reflective. This pair of mirror reflects the light  forward and back ward thought the  medium of lasing.
