Therefore we must know what are the protective eyewears is available and how they will helpful for us.

The protective eye wears are nothing but spectacles having flittering optics, which are specially designed to give protection to your eyes against any laser. This spectacle actually protects the eyes from direct exposure of laser beam. It also can protect our eyes from the reflection of laser beams. But mind it we cannot use a common type of eyewear from every laser beam. You have to choose one specific type of wear foe a specific type of laser beam. Therefore in different European countries have specified eye protection requirement and all the manufacturing companies in those countries are abound to follow EN 207 norms.

While producing eyewear European companies also follow EN 208 norms. The norm of EN 60825 also specifies optical densities. In USA all the laser fall in the class of III b and IV laser has to follow five safety features. The first two important features include key switch, safe interlock dongle. The other features are emission delay and aperture shutter. However some lasers like OEM laser are kept out of this safety requirement. There are also other exemptions. Non-portable laser may not have such safety dongles.
