Blue Laser pointer, a miracle of science has been proved very useful for the mankind. It is a pen-sized instrument and very easy to carry. This instrument is specially designed to handle easily with your hand and widely used for projecting a light through a point, if one wants to highlight it at the time of necessity. It means this laser pointer has a great utility for the demonstrators to demonstrate or present something interesting while presenting something. Most of the laser pointers have low power; as a result the laser beams projected from   such laser pointers is not quite visible from one side or the other. But this laser beams will be visible as it strikes a surface and reflect it. It does not mean that the all the laser pointers are same. There are some laser pointers, which have enough power. Such high powered laser pointers can be easily seen from side. This visibility is possible through a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering.

All the laser pointers are not same. There are some laser pointers, which use laser diode of deep red color. Such laser pointers are less expensive. But there are also some other laser pointers, which are more expensive and such pointers use laser diode of red-orange color. What is about other color diode? Yes it is quite possible to use laser diode of other colors. The green laser is one of the quite common forms of laser pointer. In recent past other laser pointers like yellow-orange and blue laser pointer have become quite popular.

The brightness of the laser pointer depend upon some factors like laser’s optical power, the nature of the reflectivity of the surface and human eye’s color response. Having same optical power, green laser may appear brighter than the others. It is because our eyes are more sensitive to green light. The measuring unit of output power of laser pointer is mill watts. In some countries there are some restrictions of the production of laser pointer. For example in UK it is limited to 1 mw and in USA it is 5 mw.
